Welcome to Student Software Distribution


Software Requirement for Incoming Undergraduates

All incoming undergraduate students are required to purchase a Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions Software Bundle. This requirement will ensure that all undergraduate students have access to the latest versions of Office and the operating system.  The bundle provides you with upgrades for this software as long as you remain an undergraduate at Virginia Tech. The Undergraduate Software Bundle is available only through the Virginia Tech Student Software Distribution Office located at 3240 Torgersen Hall. Software Assistance and Education Center on the Torgersen Bridge

Information Technology Acquisitions and University Computer Support (4Help) offer on-site software installation support on the Torgersen Bridge.  The purpose of this initiative is to provide on-site technical software support to eligible faculty, staff, and students. This center will provide installation assistance to individuals who obtain their software from the Software Distribution office as well as assistance installing Windows on Apple computers. 

The Software Assistance and Education Center is closed for the summer.

  • Return Policy
    • Unopened software may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of the purchase date. The exception is Bundle software. No Refunds!
  • Exchange Policy
    • Defective products may be returned for an exact title exchange within 90 days of the purchase date. Original proof of purchase and Hokie Passport are required.

The Software Distribution Office is located in 3240 Torgersen Hall.

To find us, come up to the third floor of Torgersen Hall and our office is at the north end of Torgersen Bridge (opposite of the Newman Library entrance).
